Welcome to Bear & Otter Outdoors – a small-but-mighty, family-run shop based in Athens, Georgia. We’re your friendly neighborhood gear nerds with a serious love for sharp tools, strong coffee, and everyday adventure.
We believe your gear should be as ready for the trail as it is for Monday morning. That’s why we hand-pick every knife, light, and tool in our lineup—from affordable workhorses to heirloom-worthy blades.
This shop started as a pop-up table, a dream, and a bit of caffeine-fueled chaos. Now it’s grown into a website, a regular presence at shows and expos across the Southeast, and a local pickup hub in Athens—still powered by that same slightly over-caffeinated energy.

Danae – Camp Boss & Chaos Coordinator
Fuelled by spreadsheets, creativity, and a whole lot of mocha syrup, Danae keeps this adventure running. When she’s not wrangling content, she’s probably brewing trail coffee or reorganizing the gear wall again. (Again.)
Blake – Knife Whisperer & Camp Chaos Captain
Blake's the guy behind the blade picks—the one who’ll geek out with you over steel types, lock styles, and why a folder just feels right. At shows, he's the one with a sharp eye and a grin.
Where to Find Us
We may not have a full-time storefront, but you’ll spot us at knife shows, bushcraft events, and outdoor expos throughout the year. Our booth is always stocked with sharp gear, cheerful smiles, and copious amounts of coffee.
