Give it the Old College Try.
The Knafs O.C.T.—short for Old College Try—is a compact everyday carry with a surprisingly big personality. Designed in-house by Matt Fitzgerald while attending Utah State University, it grew from cardboard prototypes, late-night design sessions, and a challenge from Ben Petersen to simply give the idea the old college try.
The result is a seriously pocket-friendly little knife built around a 1.89" 14C28N Wharncliffe blade. Its straight cutting edge and precise tip make quick work of packages and everyday utility tasks, while caged ceramic bearings and Knafs' first button lock deliver wonderfully smooth, fidget-friendly action.
At just 1.95 ounces, the anodized 6063 aluminum handle practically disappears in your pocket while still providing a comfortable grip. A reversible deep-carry clip makes it friendly for right- or left-handed carry, and the integrated lanyard hole leaves room for a little extra customization.
This Black O.C.T. pairs black anodized aluminum with a black stonewashed blade for a clean, understated finish that wears everyday use well.
Why We Like It
Tiny knife. Surprisingly good grip. Ridiculously fun button lock.
The O.C.T. feels like Knafs took everything they learned making the Landers, shrank the package, and turned the fidget factor up several notches. And at under two ounces, there's very little excuse not to toss it in your pocket.
