The RoseCraft Awanata is a compact modern slip joint that pairs a classic non-locking mechanism with contemporary materials and a screwed-together construction, all wrapped up in a clean, useful design from Andy Armstrong.

Its 2" D2 Wharncliffe blade gives you a straight cutting edge that's particularly handy for opening packages, detail work, and the everyday cutting jobs that don't require a whole lot of knife. A long pull provides straightforward opening, while the brushed satin finish keeps things clean and understated.

The blue G10 handle adds a healthy dose of color while staying durable and easy to maintain, with an integrated lanyard hole tucked neatly into the design. At only 3" closed and 2 ounces, the Awanata is genuinely tiny-pocket friendly without wandering into novelty-knife territory.

No pocket clip. No flipper. No bearings.

Just a neat little modern slip joint that gets the job done.

Why We Like It

The Awanata makes a pretty convincing argument for not needing quite so much knife all the time.

We also like that RoseCraft didn't try to make a traditional pattern out of it. This is very clearly a modern slip joint—screwed construction, simple lines, modern materials, and six colors because apparently choosing just one wasn't sufficiently troublesome.

And naturally, they made one blue.

That was always going to complicate matters around here.
