Two blades. Two ends. One wonderfully old-school cigar pattern.

The RoseCraft Briarpatch Jack takes its inspiration from the traditional cigar pattern, with a blade at each end and a beautifully symmetrical 4" frame.

On one end you'll find a 3.2" 14C28N clip-point blade. On the other, a 3.1" 14C28N lambsfoot. Both feature heavy swedging, brushed satin finishes, and half stops, giving you two distinctly useful blade shapes in one traditional slip joint.

This version wears hand-jigged Red Jigged Bone, intentionally dyed and finished to give it the character of an older knife that's already spent years being carried and loved. Brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, nickel silver pins, and RoseCraft's stainless steel Rose Bomb shield finish the pattern.

At 4" closed and 4.2 ounces, the Briarpatch is substantial enough to feel like a proper two-blade traditional without becoming cumbersome in the pocket.

Why We Like It

One blade at each end already makes the Briarpatch a little different from most of the RoseCrafts in the case.

Then they gave us a clip point and a lambsfoot.

Well, that's just useful.

And we're developing something of a problem with RoseCraft's Red Jigged Bone. The deliberately worn finish gives a brand-new knife the character of something that's already been carried for years—which should only get better once you start adding some actual pocket time of your own.

Bear certainly hasn't been helping us resist the red bone.

Hand-Jigged Bone: Every Knife Is Different

RoseCraft jigs these bone covers individually by hand rather than machine jigging them.

The Red Jigged Bone is intentionally dyed and finished for a worn-in, vintage appearance, including lighter areas, smoother spots, and variations in color and texture.

Your knife will not look exactly like the knife pictured. Those differences are part of the material and hand-finishing process, making each set of covers unique.
