The RoseCraft Elk River Easy Open Jack reaches deep into traditional pocket knife history, then gives the pattern RoseCraft's own beautifully executed spin.

Inspired by an old I-X-L pattern and reimagined by Andy Armstrong, the Elk River carries a 2.75" 14C28N lambsfoot blade with a brushed satin finish, heavy swedging, and a crisp half-stop. The straight cutting edge makes the lambsfoot a wonderfully practical shape for everyday utility, while the generous easy-open cutout in the handle gives you plenty of room to pinch the blade open.

And then there's that bone.

Each set of Red Jigged Bone covers is hand-jigged and intentionally finished to look like a well-loved vintage pocket knife, complete with variations in color, lighter areas, and smoother spots. Brushed stainless steel bolsters and liners, nickel silver pins, and RoseCraft's Diamonds shield finish off the traditional look.

At just 3.5" closed and 2.6 ounces, it's an easy little traditional to slip into your pocket—and one that looks like it already has a few stories to tell.

Why We Like It

RoseCraft is getting dangerously good at making new knives look like something you might have discovered tucked into the back of your grandfather's drawer.

The worn-in Red Jigged Bone absolutely makes this one, but we're also very fond of the easy-open cutout paired with that lambsfoot blade. It's traditional without being fussy—and small enough to disappear into a pocket until you need it.
