The RoseCraft Obed Creek Bow Trapper is one of Andy Armstrong's original patterns—a traditional-inspired slip joint that's evolved over time while keeping that distinctive sweeping profile.

This latest version carries a 3.1" 14C28N drop-point blade with a brushed satin finish, pronounced swedging, and a crisp half-stop. At 4.125" closed, it's a substantial traditional without getting unwieldy, giving you plenty of usable blade and a comfortable handle for everyday cutting tasks.

The Dapper Jigged Bone covers are hand-jigged individually, rather than cut with a repeating machine pattern. That handwork, combined with the natural variation in the bone itself, means every Obed Creek has a little character of its own. Brushed steel bolsters and liners, nickel silver pins, and RoseCraft's Spades shield complete the package.

It's handsome. It's useful. And it has just enough swoop to earn that Bow Trapper name.

Please Note: Genuine bone naturally varies in texture, color, and pattern. RoseCraft uses its dye to accent rather than conceal that variation, so lighter and darker areas—including around the bolsters—are normal. Hand jigging will also vary from knife to knife. Your Obed Creek will be uniquely its own.

Why We Like It

There's something particularly satisfying about seeing one of RoseCraft's own patterns continue to evolve.

The Obed Creek has all the traditional details we want—the half-stop, hand-jigged bone, bolsters, and shield—but that curving Bow Trapper profile gives it a personality all its own. And bringing it back in 14C28N makes an already very carryable traditional even easier to put to work.

Also, Dapper Jigged Bone continues to be ridiculously dapper.
